Katarína Čellárová: Destructive behaviour is not antisocial, but it is a response to something

The Dean's Award for Outstanding Dissertation Thesis was awarded in September to Katarína Čellárová, a graduate of doctoral studies at ECON MUNI and an experimental economist. In her doctoral research she found, among other things, that exploitation is less common when people are aware that they may switch roles with the victim in the future. It also revealed that winners who sacrificed more to win felt they deserved a better reward.

Ondřej Špetík: Shared bikes can be an effective alternative to public transport and cars

In some parts of the city, it can be faster to ride a shared bike than to drive or take public transport. In Brno, these are areas like Nová Zbrojovka or Spielberg Office, where traffic is heavy and public transport accessibility is poor. Dr Ondřej Špetík from ECON MUNI talks about how Brno residents use the bike-sharing system in the following interview.

"Contract" - Strategies for Research and Doctoral Studies (2022-2027)

The contract is a strategic document based on the Internal Research and Doctoral Evaluation (IRDE) carried out at Masaryk University (MU) in 2022. The content of the contract is linked to recommendations obtained from the IRDE, to MU's priorities and shared values, or to the faculty/institute's own strategies in research and doctoral studies. With this document, the faculty or university institute enters into an agreement with the Rector of MU and undertakes to implement the strategy for research and doctoral studies.
