Popis | In the last few decades the application of gold nanoparticles reached the significant development due to their unique electronic, magnetic, optical, thermal, and surface properties. Through nanotechnology procedures gold nanoparticles asserted significantly in the field of scientific disciplines (physics, chemistry, material chemistry, biology, medicine and pharmacy). Our study was focused on the characterization of gold nanoparticles (GNP), depending on their size (5 – 14 nm) and ionic strength in aqueous buffered solutions with pH 7.4. The spectral behavior of GNPs was monitored using absorption UV-Vis spectra and the color changes of GNPs solutions were monitored (effect of changing ionic strength and reagent used to adjust the ionic strength). The photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS) enabled to determine the right diameter of nanoparticles studied. The distribution of gold nanoparticles in buffered solutions was estimate by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). |
