Popis | Methamphetamine represents a significant drug abuse problem in many European countries including the Czech republic. Studies in human liver microsomes have shown that crucial metabolic reactions of MeAmp are catalyzed by CYP2D6; furthermore, some amphetamine analogues were reported as inhibitors of CYP2D6 (Wu et. al., 1997). The aim of the study was to ascertain the influence of acute and repeated pretreatment of rats with various doses of methamphetamine on metabolic activity of CYP2D1/2 (correlate of human CYP2D6) in the isolated perfused rat liver. |
