Popis | The paper summarized the beginning of ancient cosmologies and Iranian influence on Buddhism, the spread of Manicheism and their mutual relations. Main focus was on metaphors of the light and darkness and their roles in Central Asian Buddhist texts. The influence of an Iranian cult of light is then traced to the texts of The Secret History of the Mongols, Korean chronicle Samguk Yusa and living tradition of personal names in Central Asia. |
