Popis | The paper analyses impact of attitudes towards immigrants on attitudes on political system, especially on democracy and the most important political institutions (parliaments, presidents, governments) in 12 European countries with different situation regarding to immigration. Multilevel regression analysis is employed on data from European value survey (waves 1999, 2008 and 2017) to see how so-called “immigration crisis” change the pattern between anti-immigration attitudes and attitudes towards liberal democracy and institutions in European countries. Compared to previous research, we include in our analysis also countries which are not popular destinations of migrants (e.g. Poland, Czech Republic or Slovakia) for more precise examination of the role of presence and perception of immigration in the country. |
