MICRO4ASIA aims to tackle the needs and challenges in the field of micro-credentials and their recognition to boost international academic mobility and modernise the curricula in partner countries universities. The project is structured in a coherent and consistent manner to ensure all activities are linked and result in the achievement of both general and specific objectives.
The project adopts a strategic approach to address these challenges and consists of four key elements:
1. Providing the teaching staff of Vietnamese and Laotian universities with the necessary skills and competencies to develop micro-credentials (T2.3);
2. Compiling best practices and lessons learned to create a toolkit for transferring micro-credential development competencies to other stakeholders (D2.3);
3. Developing and testing micro-credentials in the fields of Economics, banking, and IT engineering among students;
4. Creating a common recognition mechanism for micro-credentials to facilitate the recognition of academic credentials and mobility at an inter-regional and transnational level.
The project methodology is based on a work program structured into 6 work packages, 3 technical and 3 horizontal, with clearly defined tasks and deliverables. The leading role in each work package is assigned to partners based on their expertise and technical know-how, with tasks distributed evenly among partners to ensure contributions from all organizations. To enhance the project ownership and foster the capacities of partner countries universities, all Vietnamese and Laotian universities are co-leader of one WP
