Over the last few decades, a growing body of research has indicated that we can no longer ignore the pivotal role of emotions in decision-making. I aim to contribute to this literature by (1) studying the neural underpinnings of emotion and two specfic emotion regulation strategies that could help deter the harmful effect of emotions on decision-making (2) exploring the effects of ‘felt trust’ on behavior (other than direct reciprocity) and (3) understand how integral and incidental emotions can be employed to foster cooperation and decrease economic impatience.
