Description The article focuses on the assessment of Theory of Miseducation by Konrad Paul Liessmann (Prague: Academia 2008). The author of this article agrees with Liessmann's opinion that the current reforms of university education are not about the traditional ideas of education but about control, oversight and suppression of a free spirit. Liessmann confronted the breakdown of education only with its traditional model of the Age of Enlightment and avoided the education content modifications required for the age of globalized culture. The author of this article therefore notes that the contemporary education system not only shapes but due to its improper contents also helps to deepen the global environmental crisis.
