Description This chapter identifies how different countries responded to the challenges of early job insecurity and he extent to which the responses were appropriate to the problems facing the countries at the time. The chapter is based on quantitative and qualitative information: various international and national databases have been employed, as well as the national reports of the NEGOTIATE project, various national sources.
