Description | Business English courses taught to Bachelor programme students at the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University in Brno pursue a relatively fixed instructional concept while simultaneously providing space to search for new and effective tools to boost teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills through language learning. These are the skills that reflect current requirements of the labour market. The paper will exemplify one of the methods applied to enhance such skills through team project work by shortly illustrating the process and analysing to what extent the original expectations have been met. In addition, the paper will briefly present a videoconference mini-course held in spring semester 2017 in cooperation with Shanghai Ocean University, China, offered to a selected group of students as an alternative to the compulsory project work. |
