Masaryk University is among world’s top 500 universities for the third time, according to the most recent Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). MU is the only Czech university to improve its ranking by two hundred places since 2021.
Since April, Masaryk University has a security manager. Pavel Bojanovský is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law with vast experience in the Police of the Czech Republic.
The current edition of the QS World University Rankings: Europe sees Masaryk University improve its last year’s ranking by eighteen positions, mostly due to the improving international reputation, internationalisation, quality of alumni and efforts in the area of sustainability.
Dr. Miloš Fišar with his colleagues from the universities in Vienna, Paris and Dallas confirmed that the application of open science principles makes sense. In collaboration with more than seven hundred volunteers, they verified the validity of the results of nearly 500 studies. In May Dr. Fišar received the Masaryk University Rector's Award for Outstanding Research Achievements for Young Scientists under 40 for his research.
Lukáš Šafář, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, is one of the first students to be issued a micro-credential by Masaryk University. In total, the university will issue almost two hundred micro-credentials this semester.
The winners of the MUNISS inter-university competition are developing a digital platform for Brno university students in cooperation with the city. It should contain useful information and make it easier for young people to live and study in Brno. The team successfully presented their project at the URBIS fair in early June.
