Matteo M. Marini, Ph.D.
Assistant professor at the Department of Public Economics
Matteo M. Marini is an experimental economist with expertise in meta-analyses.
Having accomplished a joint Ph.D. programme at James I University (Castellón, Spain) and University of Insubria (Varese, Italy), his current research is focused on individual decision-making under risk and uncertainty.
This academic year, he will teach two courses at our Faculty - Public Economics and Introductory course to Behavior Economics.
Lukasz Satola Ph.D.
Visiting professor and the Department of Public Economics
Lukasz Satola comes from the Institute of Enterprises Economics and Management, the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland. His research concerns economic conditions for the development of public services in rural areas. He intends to identify the ways of providing municipal services and assess the economic effects on the budgets of local government units.
Tara Kolar Bryan, Ph.D.
Visiting professor at the Department of Public Economics
Tara K. Bryan is a professor at the University of Nebraska, USA. She came to our Faculty as a scholarship holder of the prestigious intergovernmental organization Fulbright Commission.
Tara K. Bryan is an expert in public administration, public service, and non-profit management, with great practical experience. This semester, she will teach a new course called Nonprofit Culture and Practice in the U.S. Context.
Luca Fumarco, Ph.D.
Assistant professor at the Department of Economics
Luca Fumarco has earned his Ph.D. at Linnaeus University in Sweden and spent the last two years as a postdoctoral fellow at Tulane University, New Orleans. His research interest includes labour market discrimination as well as studying the effects of age differences on labour outcomes, health, or education. You can meet Luca Fumarco teaching two courses at our Faculty - Intermediate microeconomics and Labor economics.
Piotr Luty, Ph.D.
Visiting professor at the Department of Finance
Piotr Luty is a professor at the University of Economics in Wrocław. His research is focused on accounting aspects affecting financial results of companies, analysis of various economic variables on effective tax rates, and evaluation of the financial performance of companies.
During his research stay at our Faculty, Piotr Luty will be collaborating with the academics of the Department of Finance on the preparation of a research paper dealing with the validation of the so-called Benford's Law on accounting data of various companies.
