Dr Katarína Čellárová won the Dean's Award for Outstanding Dissertation Thesis defended in 2023. The thesis is entitled Redistribution and exploitation.
The Dean's Award for the Best Result with Social Relevance was awarded to professor Martin Kvizda for his activities in the New Mobility project and for the final report entitled New Mobility: High-speed Transport Systems and the Transport Behaviour of the Population. The award was financially supported by the faculty’s partners.
Dr Zuzana Gric won the Dean's Award for Young Scientists up to 35 Years of Age for her article Does sentiment affect stock returns? A meta-analysis across survey-based measures published in the International Review of Financial Analysis.
Dr Dominika Tóthová was awarded the Dean's Prize for Science Popularisation for her activities in the project entitled Monitoring and measures to improve air quality in Brno and for engaging students of twelve elementary schools in the research on air quality in Brno.
The Dean's Award for Innovation in Teaching went to Dr Filip Hampl for including case studies and cooperative teaching using electronic economic and legal resources in seminars and for innovations in the courses Legal Protection of Investors and Regulation & Supervision of Financial Markets.
Moreover, nine researchers were awarded the Dean's Special Recognition for Outstanding Publication. For the article titled The grass is not greener on the other side: the role of attention in voting behaviour published in the journal Public Choice, the award went to Dr Lucie Coufalová and associate professor Štěpán Mikula.
Associate professor Jan Čapek and Dr Vlastimil Reichel received the award for their article Macroeconomic forecasting in the euro area using predictive combinations of DSGE models published in the International Journal of Forecasting.
Special recognition also went to Dr Miloš Fišar and Dr Tommaso Reggiani for the article Coordinating donations via an intermediary published in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
Dr Martin Guzi received the special recognition for his article The impact of immigration and integration policies on immigrant-native labour market hierarchies published in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.
Professor Štefan Lyócsa was awarded for his paper entitled Using online job postings to predict key labour market indicators published in the Social Science Computer Review.
The special recognition was also awarded to Dr Dušan Mladenović for the article Understanding individual psychological and behavioral responses during COVID-19: Application of stimulus-organism-response model published in the journal Telematics and Informatics.
Finally, the first place in the competition for the Dean's Award for the Best Publication of 2023 was awarded to associate professor Jakub Procházka for the article entitled The evaluation of personnel selection methods by HR practitioners: The effect of reference and its interaction with information about validity published in the International Journal of Human Resource Management.
