Dear students,

I would like to welcome you in the spring semester 2021, which started according to the plan in an online mode. Little did we know that we would be forced to further restrict our measurements as a response to the current development of the pandemic and government decisions. I would like to ask you for patience and tolerance. I believe that together we can handle this extraordinary situation.

I would like to briefly summarize below the current situation at our faculty:

  • TEACHING will take place throughout the spring semester 2021 according to the planned schedule in the online mode, ie. teaching, lectures or seminars will be held online via MS Teams, Studium OnLine, or other suitable platforms at the time stated in the schedule.
  • EXAMS will most likely take place predominantly online as well. You will learn details during the semester from the guarantors of individual courses.
  • THE FACULTY BUILDING is closed to students now, the library operates online. The entrance to the building will be adjusted according to the epidemiological situation.

Please respect all the measures we take in order to conduct the teaching as efficiently and safely as possible for all.

We will continue to inform you about current events through our website www.econ.muni.cz/en/koronavirus, social networks and newsletters. If you need to ask anything, our International office representatives are at your disposal.

The current situation is evolving very dynamically and is creating a great deal of uncertainty. I promise you that I and all faculty lecturers will do everything possible to ensure that this has the least possible impact on the course of your studies. Do not be afraid to contact us with any questions or problems, we are here for you.

Wishing you good health and patience

Jiří Špalek

dean
