Yesterday, a memorandum on long-term cooperation between these institutions was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University, Jiří Špalek, and the Director of the Centre for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, Zdeněk Vašák. This is another step towards greater possibilities and deepening of cooperation between the public and university spheres.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the Centre for Regional Development, as one of the most important guarantors of the distribution of EU funds, will provide students with internships at all its regional offices. Thanks to this, Masaryk University students will gain a unique insight into the real functioning of European funds and will be able to observe first-hand how the administration of funds in the state administration takes place.
At the same time, expert lectures by representatives of the Centre for Regional Development are planned at the Faculty of Economics and Administration of MU. The lectures should be given by top experts in the field of public procurement, project evaluation and control.
An important element of the cooperation will be the presentation of the Centre as a potential employer for graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of MU.
The Memorandum thus opens up a wide range of possibilities for cooperation between the two institutions. It will enable the students of the university to broaden their horizons in the field of grant management and possibly get more information about a prospective employer. In turn, the Centre will gain the opportunity to be inspired by new and original suggestions from students and the opportunity to choose new members of its team.
