Doc. Ing. Mgr. Jakub Procházka, Ph.D. is the head of the Department of Business Economics and in his scientific work he focuses mainly on topics in the field of management and psychology of work and organization. He investigates the latter through three main approaches. The third is a combination of both of the above approaches to research.
Associate Professor Procházka has published in a number of prestigious international journals (including Judgment and Decision Making, Frontiers in Psychology, and Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health) indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, and has been a co-author of a project proposal and a team member of two successful grant proposals (Grant Agency of the Czech Republic). He is a team member of a project (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic) focused on knowledge transfer in the field of project management.
The habilitation thesis was entitled "Measuring transformational leadership in Czech: validation of the People Leadership Approach Questionnaire". During the habilitation procedure, Associate Professor Procházka gave a lecture for the professional public on "Leadership and Work Attitudes: What we know and what we (still) don't know" and in October he gave his habilitation lecture on "The importance of reliable measurement of leadership and other management constructs in Czech research studies" before the ESF Scientific Board.
