ECON MUNI is new to LinkedIn

The Faculty of Economics and Administration has a new profile on the professional network LinkedIn. Beside the existing profiles on social networks – Facebook and Instagram, there is now a new communication channel for contact with graduates, partners and professionals in the field. We will share with you current job offers, internships, stories of our successful graduates, upcoming lectures, conferences, seminars, etc. So do not hesitate to start following the Faculty’s profile.

There is a special group for our graduates Ekonomicko-správní fakulta Masarykovy univerzity ALUMNI, where you can discuss the current topics in the field with your former fellow students.

Miloš Fišar: Transparency in publishing increases the credibility of research

Dr. Miloš Fišar with his colleagues from the universities in Vienna, Paris and Dallas confirmed that the application of open science principles makes sense. In collaboration with more than seven hundred volunteers, they verified the validity of the results of nearly 500 studies. In May Dr. Fišar received the Masaryk University Rector's Award for Outstanding Research Achievements for Young Scientists under 40 for his research.

Winning MUNISS team developing a platform that will make life easier for students in Brno

The winners of the MUNISS inter-university competition are developing a digital platform for Brno university students in cooperation with the city. It should contain useful information and make it easier for young people to live and study in Brno. The team successfully presented their project at the URBIS fair in early June.

New series links science and politics. The first policy report analyses the willingness to vaccinate against covid-19

People with primary education and people living in households with a net income of less than CZK 30 000 per month are less likely to be vaccinated against covid-19, according to an analysis of data from the Life in a Pandemic survey by researchers from the HEPII institute. Whether people trust experts and government institutions is key to their decision-making. According to the researchers, it is therefore important to build trust consistently.
