STUDY PLANS - BACHELOR'S STUDIES

Each bachelor's degree programme at the Faculty of Economics and Administration has a study plan, which is a structured guide that outlines:

  • all compulsory, selective, and elective courses,

  • the recommended semester-by-semester progression,

  • and the conditions required for successful graduation.

The study plan is designed to help students organise their studies. However, it is only a supporting tool. The only binding tool that defines your study obligations is the Control Template in the Information System (IS).

Study plans vary depending on the academic year in which you started your studies and on whether you began in the autumn or spring semester.

Beware that bachelor's students must also obtain 2 credits from compulsory PE courses. More information is to be found here: Compulsory PE courses | Faculty of Economics and Administration, MU.

Final State Examination & Control Template

Before attending the Final State Examination at the end of your studies, you are required to complete the control template in the university’s Information System (IS).

The control template is binding. Study plans are just a little help for students to see the courses organised in one document.

⚠️ Important: Without completing the control template, you will not be allowed to attend the Final State Examination.

List of elective courses

Elective Courses

In addition to the compulsory and selective courses listed in your study plan, you must also complete elective courses in order to reach the required 180 credits.

  • You can choose elective courses from any faculty at Masaryk University.

  • Be sure to select courses from the correct semester, and always check the teaching language!

Elective Courses Offered by the Faculty of Economics and Administration (2025/2026):

Note: Some courses listed here may also be compulsory or selective in your programme. If so, such a course is not elective for you.

Electives from Other Faculties:

You can explore additional elective courses in the IS Study Catalogue.

How to plan your studies

All students can use an interactive app named Study Planner in the IS. Study Planner is an application designed for students to facilitate their control over their studies. In this application, students can plan what courses they want to complete in each semester, save such a plan and use it as a template when registering for courses.

More information on how to use this app is to be found here.
