Description There was worked with 165 individuals coming from Pohansko-Kostel (n=118), Pohansko-Lesní školka (n=22) and Znojmo-Hradiště (n=23) in this research. All these locations come from the same period, so that means these are all the 9th century localities with Old Slavonic populations. Firstly was estimated age by the method of age assessment by human dental wear and then by the Combined method. The result of this research is that up to the age of 40 p=<0,598; 0,96> and to the age of 45 p=<0,0770; 0,12> there is no difference with statistical significance (p>0,05) between these two methods. This result was validated by Spearman’s correlations too (rs=0,69 to the age of 40 and rs=0,34 to age over 40). So the conclusion is recommendation of using another method with higher upper limit and with less effect of external factors (for example the Combined method) than method of age assessment by human dental wear.
