Description	Amisulpride is a second-generation antipsychotic agent acting as an antagonist of dopamine D2, D3 receptors. It works so-called biphasic in low doses causes an increase in dopamine neurotransmission, in higher doses, contrary to reduce it. It proved not only in treating the positive symptoms of schizophrenia, but a positive effect on negative and probably also on the affective (depressive) symptoms and cognitive dysfunction. Is effective as monotherapy, but there is evidence that it can be effective also in combination, namely with clozapine or olanzapine. It has few contraindications and a relatively low number of adverse effects is also well tolerated.
