Description | At the present time, the human embryo viability and its implantation potential is assessed on the basis of the embryo morphology by means of a light-microscopy. However, a pregnancy outcome is not higher than 35 %, in general. It is caused - besides other things - by a low resolving power between the embryo viability and the embryo morphology. For that reason, novel and complimentary approaches for the embryo viability assessment are sought. This work deals with metabolomic profiling of spent embryo culture media using capillary electrophoresis as complimentary techniques for the embryo viability assessment. |
