Description Ternary alloys were prepared in quartz ampoules from pure metals Sb, Sn, Zn. Samples were analyzed by DTA method using Netzsch STA 409 apparatus. The alloys were consequently annealed for a long time to achieve thermodynamic equilibrium. Chemical compositions of coexisting equilibrating phases were determined by means of EDX microanalysis. CALPHAD method implemented in ThermoCalc program was used for prediction of both isothermal and isoconcentration cross-sections of the ternary Sb-Sn-Zn phase diagram. Three-sublattice model of the Sb2SnZn ternary phase was suggested.
