Description	Parental maintenance obligation toward children is frequent topic in the academic literature. In the Central Europe, the development of legal regulation in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland should be under special attention. These countries started in 1949 and 1950 on the same starting line because of similar act on family matters but the question is whether they went the same direction.
