Description The objective of this paper (the project GA AV ČR č. KJB 700860801) is to present the application of our own methodical apparatus used for assessing the suitability degree of the locality for wind power plants construction, tried and tested on the model area of the South Moravian Region. In the course of the decision-making process of the wind power plants localization within the landscape the spatial perception of potential conflicts is taken into consideration to such a degree so that the resulting project realization is acceptable for all territorial participants. Our project of wind power plants localization within the landscape covers the conception of the environmental impact in the broadest sense of the word, i.e. to relate legal spatial limits to the more abstract perception of landscape character, social acceptance, defining of natural (topographic), cultural landscape dominants and landscape-aesthetical elements (in the hierarchical structure and categorization using dot, linear and area elements), etc.
