Description Thanks to the stable political situation, the relatively good economic maturity, high cultural-histrical potential and good access to the Czech Republic has excellent conditions for business tourism development, however, this potential is not fully exploited. The cause is to be found in the growing competition from abroad on one side, on the other side also in the structure and quality of the offer of conference capacities. This contribution therefore deals with the position of the Czech Republic in the international business travel and conduct geographic analysis of spatially functional links to theis phenomenon. An important part of this paper is assessing the significance of municipalities as a congress centre.
