Description The paper on the basis of wide-spectrum literature retrieval and according to own empirical surveys discuss the issue of public perception of wind energy and analyze the factors (geographical, political-institutional, social-psychological, etc.) affecting and shaping public opinion and attitudes, or more precisely the acceptance and/or opposition to local wind power development projects. The analysis comprises general aspects but takes into account and details some specifics from the Czech Republic as well.
