Description The article presents results of a pilot case study concerning satisfaction of employers with activities of a local employment office. A goal of the study is to answer a question whether reasons of employers' (dis)satisfaction with activities of a chosen local employment office in a "Jihohomoravský" region in the Czech Republic are connected with institutional (legal) and structural (supply and demand in labor market) settings, or are determined by treatment of employment office's staff. The results shows that employers' dissatisfaction with the employment office's activities stem mainly from actual conditions in regional labor market and from institutional settings asserted within a system of public employment services. The study is presented in a theoretical context of institutional conditions for cooperation between employment offices and employers, these institutional conditions include goals of European employment policy, goals of administrative reform of public employment services, managerial style of management within public employment services and partnership between public and private sector.
