Description Three new cell lines - NBL-01 (neuroblastoma), MBL-02 (medulloblastoma), and OSA-01 (osteosarcoma) - were successfully derived from pediatric solid tumors. The cell lines were subsequently characterized using morphological criteria, DNA analysis and immunocytochemical detection of intracellular markers. All three cell lines were then chosen as experimental models for the studies of combined treatment with all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and LOX/COX inhibitors (CA - caffeic acid, CX - celecoxib) using MTT-assay. Our pilot results showed the decrease in cell proliferation both of NBL-01 and MBL-02 cell lines after treatment with ATRA in combination with CA. Similar effect was found in OSA-01 cell line after treatment with combination of ATRA and CX.
