Description The aim of the work was to study the influence of different NaCl concentrations on the amount of DNA isolated from crude cell lysates of genus Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The quality of isolated DNA was proved using genus specific PCR. The salting out procedure is quick methods of DNA isolation without use of toxic substances. Next, the influence of different procedures of DNA isolation ((phenol extraction, salting out using 6 M NaCl, purification using magnetic carriers P(HEMA-co-EDMA) and silica)) on RAPD and rep-PCR profiles was studied.
