Description The paper deals with a head of predatory bird from the Migration Period found at Drnholec (South Moravia, Czech republic). The huge diffusion of bird-shaped motifs in a wide range of metalwork objects renders the determination of the original function of eagle-head fragment of Drnholec difficult. Its interpretation as a part of belt fitting is not unlikely.
