Description There is presented the national Communication Framework research project (Analysis and Design of Communication Framework within International Environmental Information Systems) funded by the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic and related to the European DEMO-net project (The Democracy Network) funded by the Commission. They belong to a set of eEurope projects of Lisbon strategy of European Union (EU). The Masaryk University (MU) solves projects in the collaboration with the Czech Environmental Information Agency and the European Projects & Management Agency, which coordinate the DEMO-net project in the Czech Republic . Both research activities of MU monitor environmental communication activities and current interoperability with four target groups (public administration bodies, academicians, citizens and businesses) of the Czech Republic within national and pan-European environmental information systems to support eDemocracy. There is discussed an interoperability and communication framework for national and international environmental information exchange to meet EU legislation required public access to environmental information and the re-use of public sector information with respect to eParticipation and objectives of interoperability for pan-European eGovernment services.
