Description | Detection of specific chromosomal alterations both (i) on fresh material from tumor biopsies that were examined by methods of I-FISH, CGH and HR-CGH, and (ii) on metaphases in cultivated tumor cells using SKY and G-banding was performed. The results illustrated both advantages and limitations of the use of these molecular cytogenetic techniques for diagnosis of different types of embryonal childhood tumors. |
