Description The article provides the commentary on Klaus Grawe's recently published book Psychological Therapy (Hogrefe & Huber, 2004). In this review the book is welcomed as one of the important summary of the psychological perspectives in psychotherapy. The particular emphasis that author points out in the review are some issues, e.g. available research evidences known from the past decades of research, question what works in psychotherapy and some outcome results and approaches in research now. The personality of the therapist, his/her personal and communicative attributes, or e.g. the sudden gains in the therapy and the research of the process are mentioned, too. The aim of the article is to introduce a complex thinking that has been established by Grawe's Swiss group and to rethink the importance of complexity of psychotherapy in the Czech psychology today. The work recently closed by Grawe's death remains the one of the most scientific approaches to psychotherapy and a psychological model of psychotherapy. The impact of his contribution is welcomed as a challenge for Czech psychologists and psychotherapists.
