Description Several studies have shown that nitric oxide (NO) plays an important role in the regulation of the Th1/Th2 balance. To assess the hypothesis that nitric oxide is critical in the pathogenesis of allergy, we analysed genetic variations in the promoter region of the NOS2 gene in the Czech population.
