Description This study examines the relationships among perception and survey of pubertal body developmnent concerning pubertal timing and various aspects of self-esteem in boys and girls. Younger adolescents (n = 355, average age 14 years) and older adolescents (n = 274, average age 18 years) reported their informations via questionnaire. We supposed lower self-esteem in boys with retarded pace of pubertal development and in girl with accelerated pace of p.d., but we found it only in boys in experience of criticism their's body image and in girls in tendecy to influence their's body image throug doing gymnastics and diets behavior.
