Description | "Industrial" samples of three low-alloy CrMoVW steel types exposed to long term use in power plants (30,900-141,500 h at temperatures of 500-510 C) were analysed using analytical electron microscopy. The carbides M7C3, M2C, MC, V4C3 and M23C6 were found in the body-centered cubic matrix. It was ascertained that, even after a very long service time, the samples were not entirely in a state of equilibrium. The difference between experimental and calculated results is briefly discussed. |
