Description The number of documents available on the Internet grew so rapidly in the last decade that it became impossible to catalogue them centrally. Dublin Core is a standard, which lets authors or publishers to add qualified description to the documents they produce. Although being recognized and used worldwide, the use of this standard is not common in the Czech Republic. This article describes this standard, its use and its advantages.
