Description The article is based on a paper presented at the conference Judicial Review of Acts Issued in the Field of Academic Self-Government (Olomouc 2023). It reflects on the issues related to the decision-making of universities on the rights and obligations of students in their academic matters. It progressively examines the position of students as members of the academic community and points to the ability of the university to make decisions about "non-students" in certain situations. It also discusses the issue of internal and so-called other regulations and the decisions that are issued on the basis of them, as well as the so-called 'standard decisions'. Attention is paid in particular to the issues of review of examinations and termination decisions, and the courts' view of this activity is presented through case law. The reflection on the application of the provisions in practice is not left out of the discussion.
