| Description | The Rendez-vous a la française event was organized by Faculty of Education together with Faculty of Economics and Administration, the French Embassy in Prague, South Moravian Region, Franco-Czech Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. At the Rendez-vous, which took place on 30th January 2024 at the Faculty of Economics and Administration under the auspices of the Governor of the South Moravian Region, almost 200 students of the last year of secondary schools from the South Moravian Region came together with their French language teachers. They were welcomed by representatives of the French Embassy in Prague and of Masaryk University. The goal of the event was to show high school students the benefits of studying French and to familiarize them with the possibilities of studying in French at universities in the Czech Republic and in France. Presentations by the Faculty of Education, Economics and Administration and the Faculty of Arts, discussions with distinguished guests and university graduates, workshops by language centers of Brno universities and a forum of companies recruiting French-speaking workers in the South Moravian region were prepared for the students. |
