| Description | The policy paper focuses on the issue of energy security, the Green Deal and the reflection of these topics by public opinion in the Czech Republic. The analysis contained in the policy paper is based on qualitative data obtained through focus groups interviews conducted in autumn 2022, i.e. in the first months of the ongoing war in Ukraine, when the consequences of the conflict in the energy sector have already begun to manifest themselves. Another source of data is a questionnaire survey conducted between December 2023 and early January 2024. The aim of the research here was to determine the level of awareness of the Green Deal and EU climate policy, the interest in this issue and the information sources from which respondents most often draw when seeking information on this issue. The analysis concludes with recommendations on how to communicate the relevant themes that resonated in the focus groups to the Czech public and which communication channels to focus on. |
