Description Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is associated with hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection in about 10% of cases. This involvement is often bilateral and may manifest as diaphragmatic paresis in some patients. However, this fact is poorly known in the Czech scientific community and, to the authors' knowledge, no case of a patient with respiratory manifestation of the disease has been published in the Czech literature.
