| Description | Anastrozole is a highly selective nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor. It is approved for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Nonetheless, aromatase inhibitors have also been used off-label for many years in men. This article outlines empirical non-oncological anastrozole uses in men and briefly presents some current clinical trials involving the male population. |
