| Description | The aim of the text is to present the potential of community work in the field of inclusion of people with mental disabilities and to introduce the reader to practical experience with the application of community-oriented interventions in the Czech environment. In the first part, the text introduces community work in the field of promoting inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities into mainstream community life and presents the concept of resource-oriented community work. In the second part, the text introduces the practical aspects of using community work in supporting inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Here, it focuses on supporting individual involvement of people with intellectual disabilities in community activities, supporting volunteering of people with intellectual disabilities and working with support groups. |
