Citation
Description The main advantages of depot psychotropic drugs include improved adherence to treatment, absence of problems with absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, circumvention of first-pass metabolism and absence of risk of accidental or intentional overdose. The development of depot dosage forms is currently focused on the study of microparticles. The drug content, morphology and dissolution test were evaluated for the prepared microparticles containing mirtazapine. The pharmacokinetic profile of administered microparticles was determined based on frequent sampling. The serum was further used to determine liver tests, the lipid spectrum and selected adipokines.
