Description The technology of active decontamination media generation used surface dielectric barrier discharges. The technology used Multi-hollow surface dielectric barrier discharge (MSDBD) for flowing neutral gas activation. The plasma activation of oxygen and water vapour mixture generated active species with decontamination potential, mainly hydrogen peroxide and/or ozone, OH and O radicals. These reactive oxygen species interacted with pathogens and inactivated microorganisms on a contaminated surface.
