Description | Research, development, and application of nanoparticles are now a widespread field, especially in the biomedical field. In our case, a major focus is on the development of sensitive, quantitative methods capable of detecting these nanoparticles on various substrates. In our research, we focus on possible methods for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) of a certain size and high uniformity. These particles are then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The prepared AuNPs are then monitored by laser desorption/ionization imaging mass spectrometry (LDI MS) on different substrates. Both our prepared AuNPs and commercially available AuNPs are used in the experiments. The main objective of the LDI MS experiment is to detect as many AuNPs as possible on the substrate at optimal parameters. |
