Description | Based on a secondary analysis of text comments from a comprehensive questionnaire survey among students of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University, we identified sets of typical shortcomings, main recommendations, and general advantages and disa- dvantages of online teaching in spring 2020, which was enforced by measures introduced to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The results show that the main reasons why shift to online teaching did not fully replace full-time education are 1) fewer lectures by teachers on the subject matter, 2) an insuffi- cient number of practical seminars and, 3) home environment, which for many students is a barrier to motivation and focus on learning. Overall, the study presents a plastic picture of the implemen- ted online teaching, which offers a number of topics for follow-up research. |
