Description The contribution focuses on the spatial behaviour of tourism participants in the context of current megatrends, including the phenomenon of sharing economy and the development of the Airbnb platform. It aims to identify and characterize the spatial behaviour of Czech users of the Airbnb service based on a questionnaire survey. Firstly, there is a theoretical-methodological and conceptually synthetic anchoring of the issue of tourism, transport, and megatrends shaping spatial behaviour. The next part is focused on the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey and the subsequent creation of a model of spatial flows of Czech users in domestic and outbound tourism in the years 2016–2018. After defining the methodological procedure, the sociodemographic profile of the respondents is compiled, and the model of spatial flows is confronted with official tourism statistics at the national and international level. The final findings are interpreted in the context of sustainable development. Based on the research, the Czech users of the Airbnb platform are mainly the so-called Millennials. The Airbnb platform is mostly used by Czech users for trips abroad, while the choice of destination to some extent corresponds to the most visited countries according to UNWTO statistics. The most frequently chosen mean of transport in the case of outbound tourism is a plane and the trip is made for spending holidays and recreation. In terms of the number of overnight stays, short stays are generally preferred. This result is related to the fact that most of the destinations are of urban-type and a shorter length of stay is typical for urban tourism. Concerning the sustainability of destinations, it is appropriate to mention the manifestation of the megatrend of urbanization and to point out possible problems for urban destinations, which are exposed to problems in the form of air pollution, increased noise or overuse of resources.
