Description | The paper presents a view of the crowdfunding phenomenon in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, identifying factors that determine the success of non-profits on crowdfunding platforms operating in two (post-) Communist CEE countries in terms of the two-sided market theory. The main finding is that the status of a project creator does not significantly affect the probability of project overfunding, which implies that the projects created by non-profits do not have a higher likelihood of being overfunded, though this may differ between the studied countries. |
