| Description | The paper deals with relation between value prefernces and demographic behaviour in Czechia and Slovakia during last 25 years. Its main hypothesis is that values are the guiding principles which determine behaviour of individuals.It is tested by comparing two longitudinal data source: vital statistics on nuptiality, fertility and life expectancy in the perid of 1991-2017 that are confronted with value indicators concerning the mentioned demographic phenomena - these data come from longitudinal sociological survey European values study covering period 1991-2017.The results show that there is an association between values and behaviour and that it goes in the assumed way. |
